Jokes

Postby bestwriter » 02 Nov 2025, 03:17

Telling or listening to jokes is a part of social life. Most have either narratged or listened to.

Many a time however one does not understand the jokes but laugh all the same either not to embarrass the one who tells the jokes or trying to pretend that one is smart and has understood the jokes.

Have you done this ever?

Even if one does not understand joining in as you say satisfies the one who tells those jokes.

Hahaha, how many times does someone make a joke and then everyone laughs and you just laugh to hide your embarrassment, but you don't even know what's funny, it just happens so much that it's better to laugh than to seem stupid.

Laughing whn the joke is really not laughable can give a wrong signal to the one who cracks the joke and may keep doing it elsewhere Wonder if that is the right thing to do.

You are absolutely right there. Often, someone who tells jokes just wants the audience to participate even if they haven't caught the punchline well. Laughter or just joining in gives them satisfaction and energy to continue. Jokes are like a game of football. Not everyone has to play, but cheering makes the game more enjoyable and everyone feels included.
