In my opinion, each type of car has its advantages depending on the environment and driving style. A manual car is good for someone who likes complete control especially on hilly roads or difficult conditions. Also if the battery is dead you can push it and start it without much trouble.
But an automatic car is easier to use especially for city trips or traffic jams. It does not have the stress of changing gears all the time and is suitable for new drivers or those who like convenience. Although if you experience battery problems you must use a jump start.
I would choose a manual because of the freedom of driving and low maintenance costs. But if I had a lot of city trips or I want more stability, an automatic would be the better choice. It all depends on your needs and the environment you are driving in.
