Re: What’s one act of kindness you experienced today?

Today, I gave a neighbor a plate of Crock-Pot candied hot smoked sausage.

Not expecting a return gesture, she gave myself a bag of k-cups and miniature coffee creamers!

I could say I got an opportunity to show an act of kindness. A friend dropped by and from her conversation I could understand she was hard up for money. I gave her a little.

I have not experienced any act of kindness today, but then again, the day has not ended, so anything can happen.

If you don't get a blessing personally, why not go ahead and bless somebody else?

The "bread man" is going to be here on Thursday! (he brings day-old bread) He told a friend that he is bringing myself something special. What do you think the surprise is? I can't wait!

I always wash the dishes. Then, once finished, I clean the sink with antibacterial spray.

My roommate never says thank you. Yesterday, she found fault yet again.

A few months ago, I had mentioned to her that I would like to buy a mini backpack.

Guess what she gave myself yesterday evening after finding fault? A mini backpack that she said that she had found in her bedroom.

My neighbor brought over a plate of mini-cupcakes. A total sin, I know. But so tiny, indulge, yes?

Since I had a fall down stairs, I am very sore. I had an appointment for today and tomorrow. I called and explained and was told that I can take the days off and go next week.

Then, I need some shopping accomplished. My roommate was understanding and said that she would shop for myself, so I gave her my debit card.

Also, last night, my roommate washed and dried, and folded fabric for future wreathes for myself to create.

I asked her if there is anything that she would like to buy for herself. She just wants a soft drink.

Today, the food pantry was here! I totally forgot that the food pantry people would be here. A blessing.

Over the past few days, I have been cleaning up my bedroom office. I had bags and bags of items to throw away and stuff to keep but needing to be washed.

The bags were heavy and needed to be taken down the stairs. I already fell down the stairs a couple of weeks ago and dreaded the thought of carrying all those bags.

Out of nowhere, my roommate asked, "Would you like for me to carry those bags downstairs for you?"

It's a popular slang term in Australia, but I think I've heard it used in some American films I've watched over the years too. It means super happy! I'm so stoked! :D

I guess the day is still young because I have not experienced an act of kindness.
Anyway, we should appreciate that kindness is contagious and take every opportunity to treat others with compassion.
Remember the adage about karma?

Kindness really is contagious. Whether it’s helping someone out, a compliment, or simply spreading a smile, those small acts can ripple out in big ways.

These are such wonderful things to happen! It's so nice to hear how small acts of kindness can make a day better.

You have shown a kind and generous heart. I hope you continue to share kindness with others. What other things do you plan to share kindness with others?

Thank you!

Every Sunday, I prepare a luncheon for my roommate and her boyfriend. The 2 make myself feel good as like I have said, I usually dine alone.

The 2 choose what they want.

This upcoming Sunday, the 2 want hot pockets and french fries! I want orzo but the 2 do not like.

Today, I had a meeting and was treated to lunch.

The meeting was awful, so the lunch was a total treat.
