What was looking a possibility came true. US used its stealth B 2 bombers with GBU-57 A/B Massive
Ordnance Penetrator bombs weighing roughly 30,000 pound (13,600 kilogram) (precision-guided bombs)
to strike strongly fortified site with massive underground facility - Fordow as well as Natanz and Isfahan.
Since these bombs are so strong, it would mean massive damage to these facilities.
In turn, Iran is likely to block the narrow Strait of Hormuz and likely target US deployments particularly
in and around Middle East.

The question is: Are we staring at a major escalation or even WWIII ?

Moreover, I have now learnt that a Terror group supporting Iran operates in Iraq as well.
Not sure if they could be activated.

Once again, the peace-loving Donald Trump has mounted a war on a soveign country with no shred of evidence it's 'weeks away' from assembling a nuclear weapon. His own intelligence told him there was no truth in that... but of course, 'they don't know what they're talking about.'

And by the way, Iran says there's been slight damage to their facilities.... not quite the same as 'obliterated' as Trump would have you believe. The materials were moved to a high level security location in anticipation of a US/Israel strike. It's a shame, but once again, the US is being led by the nose to engage in another forever war it has absolutely nothing to do with.

I think this could be a reference to Iraq in 2003, when Saddam Hussein was accused of building up weapons of Mass Destruction.

Yes but there are factors which he cannot immediately control. Moreover, his too direct talk approach puts off diplomats and negotiators from other countries.

Attacks on areas beyond Ukraine would have far reaching consequences and even an official start of WWIII.
