Atleast On Clearance

Postby Spontaneo » 15 Jun 2025, 01:37

Today, I went shopping. I ran into Dollar Tree for some batteries. Right after checking out, I saw a cart of clearance items. I thought that I had found a fortune! tortilla wraps! I bought the tortilla wraps thinking that the wraps were flour. I do not like corn tortilla wraps. Got home to find out corn tortilla wraps.

What should I do?

Have you ever gone shopping thinking that you had found a really good bargain of something that you really really like? Got home to find out nada?

I got a DVD cheaply recently and even though it was new in the packaging it turned out to be a bootleg copy. It has subtitles in Dutch that you can't turn off and every 5 minutes it comes up with words in the middle of the screen that say "for viewing only" (looks like it was a preview tape and not meant to be sold). Kind of annoying, but at least it was cheap.

Do you have an old-fashioned DVD player?

No. I used to but I lost the remote a while back and it doesn't work without it. Super annoying. I looked everywhere and it's just vanished! I have a gaming console that you can also play dvds with (well, one of my children does, and I use it).

I don't know what a gaming console is. Like a big computer?

It's a device you can plug in to a TV to play video games. Some examples are the X-Box, Playstation, Nintendo Wii, and oldschool ones like the Atari. Some of them like the Playstation and X-box you can also use to play dvds, or watch things through streaming services like Netflix.

Years ago, I had a portable DVD player. My laptop does not have a built-in DVD player.

Yeah, they don't make laptops with a built in one any more. It's a bit annoying. I used to play dvds on my old laptop all the time, but I couldn't find a new one with one. I got a portable DVD drive that I can plug in to my computer instead. They're pretty inexpensive now (like $20- $100).

It's so frustrating when that happens.

It has happened a couple of times with me. I went put shopping and brought something that was not even on the shopping list. I got them just because there was a good sale and I knew that they will come to use. Well, we should always grab any good bargain opportunity

LOL If I go through that closet one day, I am probably going to find a new wardrobe, stuff for work, CDs, DVDs, etc. Just to begin! ;) ;)
