Well this is possible now via team viewer, you can rent your pc and earn money. It is not bad if you have privacy concern use different account on your windows, for you one and other for clients.

It's new to me about renting hosting server thing. It's actually a good idea. Try to read more articles and reviews about it so you could have a deeper knowledge of doing it.

It may be harmful. If you rent your PC then obviously you have to accept some terms of theirs because you are going to earn money. And if they use your rented space for illegal hosting. Then it will be a big issue. Just sharing my thought.

I don't think I will ever “rent my computer as a hosting server.” First of all my PC is a laptop with a moderate storage, secondly, I am using prepaid internet, thirdly, I am much concerned about security.

I don't think any one can do it ..You should have a good performance PC with very high requirements and storage as web server .

It depends on your pc. I would imagine there are certain minimum requirements the company is looking for in order to make the process work. Protecting your pc and the data on your pc is also a concern.

In my opinion this is too risky. I don't think it's worth it. You have to protect your pc and there should be a special pc. With a high performance.

It sounds like it could be a profitable business model. Getting computing power for a low outlay must have good margins.
