I have set my OS to update itself automatically.
I am wondering; how about the browser? Would a non-up-to-date browser put my computer at risk?
In regards to the OS, it is not just install updates for your version of Windows, it is also about updating to the latest Windows version. XP users with updates that install automatically will be up to date with XP security patches but still far behind WIndows 10 in terms of general security.

Basically everything your install is a security risk and and provides extra attack surface. Programs like Word that may not even connect directly to the internet can be exploited through malicious word documents. Only install programs you need and keep them all upto date. Browsers especially as they are usually the first line of defence and first thing to get targeted. Disabling flash in your browser will also go a long way to protecting you aswell.

Everything online lately is Vulnerable!
Hackers are developing. I believe we as programmers always have a characteristic of leaving a footstep mark where ever we by-pass and this is just what it's needed by refined hackers of this Era.

I love how the term hacker is understood wrong. The idea of the term hacker was a person who actually does good for the world by hacking but some people used that for another purpose which is stealing money / harassing others/ destroying computers / and other stuff. Nowadays there is no way to protect yourself completely from so called hackers but all you got to do is just being aware of what you do. If you see a cool software like install this and get free money or etc then make sure you avoid it because such softwares contain all the nasty stuff.

Insincerity and insecurity goes in handy. For long the word insincerity exists hacking will progress. Before you hack a site there are basic and key informations you will need as hacker. How do get the info,? Who grant them access to the info?

It could be that they get such informations from other hackers or scam sites. That is why I always advice that one should be really careful with some of these sites that springs out daily in the name of "startup."

The truth is that 100% cyber security is not possible as there are a lot of software develop now that can bring out most hidden codes to the open.

I understand. But in the first place, who or which website offers 100% cyber security?

That is a difficult question you know. Most sites would want to offer 100% security to boast their reputation or at least, 99.9% but since it's almost impossible, we can only take what they have tried to offer. Plus ensuring that they are legit.

I doubt if this is possible because some one must have design the site or write a program for your site, so it could be possible that some info may not reveal to you

I may say it's impossible. I've work in a fraud department before and what I've notice is that there are a lot of ways to fraud someone. They have different methods and tricks as well.

Yeah it is really impossible to abolish totally any kinds of security breach, even the most highly secured establishments like the pentagon which had encountered some security problems before and is still not 100% unhackable, facebook also had recently run into these problems and many other more trusted companies. Antivirus creators, some not all, create not only antivirus but also viruses in order to use it for any means they want to take advantage to their apps.

Cyber attacks are going more and more up than down these days. People download music, video games, or any kind of software, without knowing of cyber threats. We need some serious cyber security in order to have a risk free cyber ecosystem. And, we need to be cautious about what we are clicking.
