CMS is content management system, and wordpress is a content management system from wordpress.org. The free wordpress implies to the free blogging platform from wordpress.com. Did I not understand your question or you are missing something?

I don't have much experience wirh wordpress.com and I have always used wordpress.org. Therefore I cannot say much about admin panel for free wordpress blog

If you are using free blog from wordpress.com, you can only use affiliate marketing to monetize your site. The wordpress.com also offer hosting service wirtrh custom domain however, this is an expensive service.

How much are you paying for wordpress hosting on namecheap. I think a cheap alternative is namecheap shared hosting. You can host 3 websites with just $9.88 in the first year.
