ToTW Which hosting company would you stay away from?

Postby Treborika » 19 May 2023, 06:29

A hosting company should offer you a great customer support, make it pleasant experience to use their services.
Have you used a hosting company that it didn't impress you and that you would now stay away from?

Why do you ask @Treborika, are you looking for a hosting company for your own website?

I decided not to host with GoDaddy again. I dont like the uptime, and customer care. Their interface is kind of complicated.

That is the tip of the iceberg regarding what is wrong with GoDaddy.

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

Besides the malicious protection and etc, what is your uptime percentage? Do you offer free migrations?

1&1 IONOS. I've heard mixed reviews about it. Some find it confusing to use and not very beginner friendly.

HostGator is notorious for being a scam because their business has been in shambles since they were acquired by EIG. Many customers complain that it is difficult to renew their services after they expire and that prices suddenly increase without notice. Their customer service has been poor and they often fail to resolve minor technical issues.
