Combating Depression

Depression or severe stress can simply be described as a constant feeling of utter sadness,too much and constant stress can usually lead to depression,a person who is depressed find no joy in their life,it's as if nothing works and nothing can cheer them up,it's like they ate living in a dark room without a hope of seeing light. It's no suprise that most of the people who has commuted suicide has suffered from severe bouts of depression.
Depression leads to bad decisions and bad decisions either leads to deaths or regrets which would further sink the victim in a pool of depression. The good news is there are ways to overcome depression and they are as follows...

Identify The Stress Triggers
They say a problem identified is half solved,when you feel depressed,take time to check what caused it and when u identify it,you can implement ways to solve it.

Listen To Music
As ridiculous as this might sound,we have to remember an important fact.. Music is a food of the soul and when the soul is nourished,so is the body and mind. Music appeals to the brain and helps it to relax,it's a great way to relieve stress.

Stop Thinking
One of the greatest enemies of a depressed person is his mind,it keeps reminding you of the reasons that makes you feel depressed,it reays negative thoughts over and over again like a broken record until most people start feeling the urge to kill themselves just to escape the misery.So in other words,a great way to prevent depression from escalating is to stop thinking and one great way to stop thinking is to distract yourself by doing things you love.. Once the negative thoughts sets in,you go for a long walk of do any other thing that gives you joy and don't atop till you feel better!

Improve Your Diet
A recent study has shown that there is a direct link between eating habits and depression,the study showed that people who eat a gram of fish oil each day and noticed a 50% decrease in symptoms such as anxiety, sleep disorders,suicidal thoughts, and decreased sex drive. A great source of Omega 3 fatty acids is tuna fish.
