MyBB NewPoint Integration is released! Download the source code here! Warning, it have not been tried on a real server yet. Use it at your own risk. Currently, looking for MyBB forums owner to test it out.

Edit: There will be one update to the integration very soon. Do not download the old source code.

Update #1

Thanks to CyberFreak for being the only member that registered..
CyberFreak also helped out by "exploiting" the site. He found a bug which I did not know of. He found out that users can send ForumCoin form a wallet to that particular wallet. Thus, making the database bigger and use lot of resources. Fixed it by adding a simple scripts that will check if the receiver is the user who send.

Secondly, I found out that the 'request' link do not work. I accidentally put the 'requests' into placeholder tags instead of 'value' tags. Fixed it.

Signed up. =)
Just a one thing: On the "Deposit" page, you may wish to direct people to the donate link directly: points.php?mode=transfer&i=452.

Depositing and withdrawing is all done automatically- as in cron runs every few hours to check donations into the FCNinja account- is that correct?

Thanks for joining ForumCoin.ninja. Received a deposit and processed it.
Thanks for the the suggestion. We will look into it and may add it in the next update.
No. Depositing is not done automatically. It is done manually by people. This is to ensure that there will be no "Spam & Send" ForumCoin in our network.

Thanks for the patient. Today, we released the new version of MyBB NewPoint integration. It will be called Coin2Point V0.2. This script have been tested on a local server. It is working perfectly fine. If you find any bugs or glitchs, please contact me.

Why do we choose to make a NewPoint integration instead and not make a new plugin from scratch?

Well. The answer is simple. ForumCoin.ninja is a small company with limited resources. Thus, we wont be able to add robust features as fast as NewPoint do. As of now, NewPoint have many plugins for MyBB 1.6 and a few for MyBB 1.8. In the near future, there will be lottery, games and betting adds-on for NewPoint.

ForumCoin.ninja wont be able to compete with them. And so, we play nice and make use of them.

How do I use the plugin?

First, Coin2Point is not a plugin. It is a third-party integration for MyBB NewPoint plugin. Just upload the folder "Coin2Point" to your MyBB root. Inside the folder, there is one file named "config.php". Open it up and do the necessary edits - host, database username and password etc.

Create a new thread in your forums that link users to "/Coin2Point" and you are all set to become a ForumCoin accepting forums owner! :)

If you have any question, feel free to ask me. If you are willing to share your FTP username and password, I wont mind doing the uploading and editing work for you.

Download the sources here!

Look like I forgot to put the SQL code into the Coin2Point sources. It is alright.

Submit a full tutorial to MyBB forums. Waiting for them to approve it. Will update here with a link.

Aww.. Tutorial was rejected and soft deleted by a MyBB moderator. The moderator said that "we"* can't promote a third party system which is not popular - well known. I asked them for a copy of the tutorial. And I'll be posting here the tutorial upon receiving the copy from them.

* referring to MyBB team.

Basically, ForumCoin.ninja is a third-party which help you hold your ForumCoin. You will be able to make payment from merchant quickly and easily. There's no need to wait for the merchant to log into ForumCoin.com and check your transaction. It will all be done by the system.. Why dont you register if you have not? You will learn by about it when you register.

Do you mean the footer link? I'm still planning what to add in the footer. Main while, the button will not redirect you to anywhere. Here's what Fergal wrote - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2214#p33691.

Let's start learning how-to accept ForumCoin and exchange it for your forum currency (Newpoints only)

Gead over to ForumCoin.ninja and create a new account (preferably your Forum name).

Next, download the NewPoints integration script here.

Unpack the .zip folder. Inside you will see another folder named "Coin2Point".

Inside the folder "Coin2Point" you will see one folder ("scraper") and five .php file:

config.php;
database.php;
index.php;
transfer.php; and
validate.php

Now, connect to your database through phpMyAdmin. Insert the SQL code below to your MyBB database.
Code:
Code: Select all
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `coin2point` ( `tid` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT COMMENT 'AUTO_INCREMENT', `forumID` varchar(120) NOT NULL, `requiredNote` text NOT NULL, `requestTime` text NOT NULL, `requestCompletedTime` text NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`tid`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=1 ;

Open up config.php file with a editor (preferably Notepad++) and edit your desired name/text.

Upload the folder to your MyBB root - including the "Coin2Point" folder.

And you're done! Just point the link to /Coin2Point folder to your members and the script will exchange ForumCoin for your currency 24/7! Smile

If you find any bugs in the script, feel free to contact me and I will fix it.

If you have any question, feel free to contact me via ForumPromotion or @inTechPlus at twitter.

It depend. I think he would not replace them on this site if you happen to lost your ForumCoin to me or whoever is the scammer. Simply because Fergal want ForumCoin to be a true currency which could not be replaced. Anyway, I already gave lot of past trades here, viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2214#p33301. Check it out and decide for yourself.

Seem like I totally forgot about this project of mine. I apologize for holding onto everyone ForumCoin for more than five months. All ForumCoin have been returned to the original owner at triple the amount. Kindly close this thread now. I might request it to be opened again once I got all the APIs and Server Side correct. Sorry for the inconvenient causes to all ForumCoin member.
